The challenge at Art Creations Friday was to use the image supplied and the challenge at Saturday Workout was to alter a tin..I combined both.

This is the little tin I found in the shed..

And this is how it turned out.I painted it black and used treasure gold rub and buff on the exposed parts,although you can't see it in the photo.

Challenge 7 at Art Creations Friday was to use their beautiful background. The Tuesday challenge at Created By Hand was flourishes..I have combined the two on an ATC canvas..

The image at Art Creations Friday is just what I needed.

I wanted a gift box to put Mum's christmas present in and couldn't find anything that I really liked.So I bought an unstained pine box.I lightly stained it with burnt umber, added the image from this weeks challenge. I used several layers of full gloss varnish then added the embellishments.I finished it off with another coat of varnish.It is really what I wanted.
